In two intensive modules, B1.1 German module and B1.2 German module, you will deepen your grammar knowledge, expand your vocabulary, and gain confidence to express yourself effortlessly in most everyday situations. You will learn to have conversations about familiar topics such as work, leisure, or travel, express your opinion, and describe your interests and wishes.
Module B1.1: Communicate Confidently
In this module, we will deepen your grammar knowledge, expand your vocabulary, and improve your communication skills. You will learn to communicate easily in most everyday situations, express your opinion clearly, and participate in discussions.
- Grammar: We will deal with more complex grammatical structures such as tenses (perfect, past perfect, future I and II), subjunctive II, passive voice, and subordinate clauses. You will learn to use these structures correctly and refine your expression.
- Vocabulary: Your vocabulary will be expanded to cover topics such as everyday life, work, travel, hobbies, and current events. You will learn to use synonyms and idioms to make your language more lively and varied.
- Speaking: We will train your speaking skills through role-plays, discussions, presentations, and short talks. You will learn to present your thoughts in a structured and convincing way and actively participate in conversations.
- Listening Comprehension: You will improve your listening comprehension by listening to authentic materials such as news, interviews, podcasts, and short films. You will learn to filter out important information and understand different accents.
- Writing: You will practice writing longer texts such as reports, emails, and letters. We emphasize a clear structure,appropriate word choice, and correct grammar.
Module B1.2: Mastering More Complex Topics
In this module, we will expand your language skills to handle more demanding topics. You will learn to deal with current issues, understand complex texts, and express your own thoughts in writing and speaking.
- Current Topics: We will discuss topics such as the environment, politics, society, and culture. You will learn to express your opinion, analyze arguments, and consider different perspectives.
- Reading: You will read and analyze more demanding texts such as newspaper articles, literary works, and scientific essays. You will learn to summarize the content, identify the main points, and analyze the writing style.
- Writing: You will write structured texts such as arguments, statements, and essays. We emphasize clear argumentation, convincing evidence, and appropriate language.
- Listening: You will train your active listening and learn to ask specific questions and clarify misunderstandings.You will practice extracting information from longer lectures and presentations.
- Presenting: You will present complex topics using visual aids and a clear structure. We emphasize a convincing presentation style, appropriate body language, and a professional presentation.
